Kirsty’s Angels

The brief

Kirsty’s Angels is a start up cleaning company due to launch in 2021. So what does every start up need? It needs branding that is going to make it stand out from the crowed and promise to entice new customers. It needs to promote confidence and tell a story. The Job was to create a striking brand, brand collateral and brand guidlines.

The Logo

The logo makes use of strong contrasting colours and has been optimised to work on three different backgrounds; dark, light and Kirsty’s Angels bold red purple. A strong logo mark assisted by an accommodating word mark makes for a bold recognisable logo.

The business venture will be heavily based around locations, searches and bookings, a lot like the popular app Uber. Starting with the logo mark, it holds a bold recognisable location marker and this was used as a base for the rest of the mark. From here I looked into ways that searching a location works and systems such as sonar and radio waves. This is where the circular design surrounding the location mark came from. Creating a representation of a search area supports the location mark in making a vivid yet elegant Logo.

Along side the logo mark is a striking word mark that helps in making a strong design. I chose to go for a semibold typeface to make sure that it was not over powering but making it relatable and instantly recognisable along side the logo mark.

The Logo Mark

The Logo mark was a large part of the design process as it too threw up its own challenges. Like any other logo mark it was important that it worked on its own, away from the support of the written element of the logo. With Kirsty’s Angels set to launch in early 2021 and without giving too much away, the company plans to become the first app of its kind. This is where the logo mark comes into its own! We all use apps on a daily basis for one reason or another so it’s important for a brand to stand out against its competitors. Bold lines and strong colours Help Kirsty’s Angels stand out and stay recognisable on your screens. The choice of a circular mark was purposely done, with social media becoming a massive part of any company and its marketing it’s important to take this into consideration with a business such as Kirsty’s Angels. Most social media profile pictures are held within a circle and this became a massive influence on designing the shape and path of the Logo mark.
