The Brief

Create a Sale promo that will run from across a weekend, it needs to stand out and catch the customers eye. The Sale is a 60% Off all products on The Protein Works website, it should bring a lot of traffic to the site and generate a huge amount of revenue.

For this design task it was important to make sure I grabbed the attention of the customer. After looking at The Protein Works website and the style of hero images and promotions used at the time, I looked at images provided during the design task and settled on two images. It was important that the images where bright, colourful and eye catching so I made some editorial changes to this images to make them stand out a bit more. I stuck with the 60% off tabs, title and subtitle sizes provided with the design brief and made sure they where in a position to communicate clearly to the customers. In order to make the customer more likely to engage with promotion I decided to add in a countdown clock as it would tell the customer that this is a one time offer and therefor making them more likely to interact. The use of a different image on the email promotion was a decision I made as the website image didn’t work in portrait mode, the image colours clashed too much with the information that needed to be on the promotion. In turn the image used on the email works well in portrait but not in landscape and these meant that two different images where needed for this campaign.
